Box Score TURLOCK — No. 14 Sonoma State proved to be too strong and well rounded for the still-growing Cal State Stanislaus Warriors as SSU won the CCAA women's volleyball match in straight sets Saturday night.
Three Seawolves were in double-digits in kills with another with eight as they improved to 21-5 overall and 14-4 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association.
Kelsey Hull had 11 kills while Madelyn Densberge and Caylie Seitz put away 10 each to leave Sonoma State. Merced's Rachel Andrews had eight kills (16 attempts, 1 error for a .438 attacking percentage) with four block-assists.
For Cal State Stanislaus,
Paige Walker led the team with nine kills and
Blair Ehrlich had seven. However, only three other Warriors recorded three kills apiece.
Sarah Crowl had 17 digs in the three-set match which is slightly above her season average. She continues to lead the CCAA with 5.47 digs per set and 503 total.
Cal State Stanislaus lost its fifth straight and fell to 7-19, 4-14 in league play.
