Road Warriors fall to Cal State East Bay

Box Score HAYWARD — The Cal State Stanislaus volleyball team is probably ready to finally play at home at Fitzpatrick Arena. In their 10th consecutive road game to start the season, the Warriors dropped another conference match, this time a straight set loss at Cal State East Bay.

Friday night's match in Hayward marked Stanislaus' second match away from home in three days. The Warriors will have to go to Seaside to take on Cal State Monterey Bay on Saturday before finally host their home opener, next Friday, Sept. 27, against UC San Diego.

At Cal State East Bay, a match the Pioneers won 25-19, 25-20, 25-14, freshmen duo Blair Ehrlich and Paige Walker led the team in kills with nine and eight, respectively. Ehrlich also had nine digs to go with libero Sarah Crowl's 14. Redshirt freshman Jocelyn Cervantes chipped in seven kills.

Suzy Ni Xu led the Pioneers (5-4, 1-0 CCAA) with 12 kills.

The Warriors fell to 3-7 overall and 0-2 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association.
