Box Score TURLOCK - Blair Ehrlich had 12 kills and the Warriors were again competitive until the end before Cal Poly Pomona held on to edge Cal State Stanislaus in straight sets, 25-18, 25-23, 26-24.

Alex Hansen and Lauren Jones led Cal Poly Pomona in kills and blocks as the Broncos won their fourth match in five tries to improve to 9-6 overall and 7-5 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association.

Ehrlich returned to lead the Warriors with 12 kills on 30 attempts and hit .333 on the night - a welcome sight for the Stanislaus (2-14, 2-10 CCAA) side. The sophomore had struggled to put up numbers as of late and had been held under 10 kills per match in the previous seven contest. Last season she had 19 double-digit kill nights and three times over 20 en route to a sensational freshman season with 375 kills (3.54 kills per set average).

Taylor Massengale chipped in seven kills and three total blocks (one solo) to help the team improve at the net on defense. Jordan Harris made her return from injury to provide a little bit of spark with a kill and a block in limited action. Harris went down with a knee injury on Sept. 20 and missed seven matches.

Sarah Crowl started at libero Friday night with 13 digs and Paige Walker dug-up 12. Hannah Green led the setters with 18 assists.

Hansen and Jones each ended up with 10 kills. Hansen also had four assisted blocks and Jones had three as the Broncos racked up 15 total blocks including a solo by Deanna Blaine. Pomona extended its winning streak over the Warriors to six.

Cal State Stanislaus will face UC San Diego, which lost at Chico State Friday, on Saturday at 7 p.m. The Tritons are 10-6 overall and 8-4 in conference play.
