It's back on the road again for the Volleyball team, this time a couple of short trips to Hayward and Monterey Bay for a pair of California Colleigate Athletic Association contests.

Series Notes: The Warriors defeated Cal State East Bay for their first win this season back on Sept. 20 to post their fourth win over the Pioneers in the last five meetings. Stanislaus improved to 7-10 overall against the Pioneers since CSUEB returned to Division II in 2009 ... Cal State Monterey Bay snapped a three-match losing streak to the Warriors on Sept. 19 and is now 14-7 all-time in the head-to-head series.

Last Time Against Opponents: Stanislaus won the match in Turlock on Sept. 20 in four, 25-23, 23-25, 25-17, 25-18 ... Blair Ehrlich had 16 kills, Lindsay Skadeland 13 and Jocelyn Cervantes 11 as the Warriors hit .252. Hailey Gruetzmacher had a career high 21 digs in that match ... Paige Walker led all players with 15 kills and an impressive .464 attacking percentage and Ehrlich had 20 digs to go with her eight kills in the closely contested four-set loss, 25-23, 25-23, 32-34, 25-20 on Sept. 19 versus CSUMB.

Checking In On the Top 10 Lists: With 266 assists this season, Hannah Green has moved up to No. 6 on the career assists list with 1,231 as a sophomore ... Blair Ehrlich is 58 attempts away from 2,000 attacks. She's now at No. 8 on that top 10 list. She set the single record in 2013 with 1,408 tries ... Sarah Crowl, who set a single season in digs with 552 last year, now has 726 career digs, which puts her at No. 7. She's 72 digs away from No. 6.

Blocking Game Exists: The Warriors managed to turn some heads last Friday with strong net defense for their second straight match. Against Cal Poly Pomona, the Warriors recorded six total blocks (1 solo, 10 assisted) - the same tally from the previous Saturday at San Francisco State when they beat the Gators in three. The Warriors enter this week 12th in the CCAA in blocking with 57 total (1.00 blocks per set) as compared to No. 1 Cal State San Bernardino's 172 total (2.54 per set).

Going for a CCAA Series Sweep: The Warriors have a shot at sweeping Cal State East Bay on Friday. If they can accomplish this feat, the Warriors would extend the streak of sweeping at least one CCAA series for the seventh consecutive season.

About Cal State East Bay (5-13, 2-11 CCAA): The Pioneers have lost eight straight matches. They won a set for the first time during the streak last Saturday at Cal State San Bernardino (lost 3-1) ... CSUEB ranks 11th in the conference in digs per set at 14.18 ... Amber Hall leads the team with 209 kills and a 3.37 kills per set average, which is fifth best in the conference ... Four of the five Pioneer wins have been home matches.

About Cal State Monterey Bay (5-12, 5-8 CCAA): The Otters snapped a three-match skid with a five-set win over Humboldt State in Arcata last Saturday ... Rachel Cookus is second in the CCAA with 4.95 digs per set. She's third in total digs with 302 ... CSUMB also has the second best blocker in the league. Janai Johnson averages 1.15 blocks per set.
