Series Notes: The Warriors defeated Cal State East Bay for their first win this season back on Sept. 20 to post their fourth win over the Pioneers in the last five meetings. Stanislaus improved to 7-10 overall against the Pioneers since CSUEB returned to Division II in 2009 ... Cal State Monterey Bay snapped a three-match losing streak to the Warriors on Sept. 19 and is now 14-7 all-time in the head-to-head series.

Blocking Game Exists: The Warriors managed to turn some heads last Friday with strong net defense for their second straight match. Against Cal Poly Pomona, the Warriors recorded six total blocks (1 solo, 10 assisted) - the same tally from the previous Saturday at San Francisco State when they beat the Gators in three. The Warriors enter this week 12th in the CCAA in blocking with 57 total (1.00 blocks per set) as compared to No. 1 Cal State San Bernardino's 172 total (2.54 per set).
Going for a CCAA Series Sweep: The Warriors have a shot at sweeping Cal State East Bay on Friday. If they can accomplish this feat, the Warriors would extend the streak of sweeping at least one CCAA series for the seventh consecutive season.
About Cal State East Bay (5-13, 2-11 CCAA): The Pioneers have lost eight straight matches. They won a set for the first time during the streak last Saturday at Cal State San Bernardino (lost 3-1) ... CSUEB ranks 11th in the conference in digs per set at 14.18 ... Amber Hall leads the team with 209 kills and a 3.37 kills per set average, which is fifth best in the conference ...
