One of the Best Seasons: The Warriors are enjoying one of the best seasons in the program with 12 wins so far. With one more win, Stanislaus State would match the win-total of 2010. The last time the Warriors posted a winning season was in 2002 at 19-13. The only other winning season during the Division II era was 18-13 in 2000.
Playing for a Tournament Berth: At 6-6 in conference play, the Warriors are just one game out of fifth place (where three teams are at 7-5). The top six teams at the end the regular season will particiapte in the CCAA tournament. The CCAA is hosting a six-team conference tournament for the first time this season.
Among the League Leaders: Taylor Massengale is fifth in the CCAA with a .351 hitting percentage and is seventh with nine solo blocks.
Maddi Seidl is fifth in the league with a 10.0 assists per set average. Her 660 total assists is also fifth best.
Best Diggers & Servers: Stanislaus State leads all CCAA teams with 19.46 digs per set this season. The Warriors' 1,304 digs total is third best. Stan State is also one of the better serving teams with a 1.49 aces per set average, which is second best. The team's 100 aces rank third in the conference.
About the Opponents: Cal State San Bernardino (17-3, 10-2 CCAA) is ranked No. 22 in this week's AVCA poll. The Coyotes have won six straight and 10 of last 11 (only loss was at Sonoma State). During the six-match winning streak, CSUSB only lost two sets. Malika O'Brien (.440 attack %, 1.25 blocks per set) and Brenna McIntosh (.418 attack %, 1.39 blocks per set) are their leaders … UC San Diego (11-9, 7-5 CCAA) won both matches on the road last week at Monterey Bay and Pomona but was just 1-3 in the previous four matches. The Tritons are led by Heidi Sierks' 10.78 assists per set average, which is second best in the CCAA. Meagan Wright has 293 kills and averages 3.86 kills per set.
