LA JOLLA —
Blair Ehrlich's homecoming was a decent one for her statistically, but she would probably rather trade that in for a team win.
In the end, the Stanislaus State volleyball team dropped a straight-set decision to UC San Diego, 25-13, 25-22, 25-16, Saturday night at RIMAC Arena.
Ehrlich, who is from San Diego, led Stanislaus with 13 kills and
Taylor Massengale spiked nine kills but they dropped to 12-8 overall and 6-8 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association after returning from perhaps the toughest volleyball trip in the conference.
Maddi Seidl recorded another double-double with 22 assists and 13 digs. She has now turned in 15 double-doubles this season in assists and digs.
UC San Diego improved to 13-9 overall and 9-5 in CCAA. The Tritions have won 10 straight against Stanislaus and are 15-0 against the Warriors at home during CCAA play.
The Tritons were led by Meagan Wright (13 kills) and Danielle Dahle (12).
Stanislaus is home for its next four matches, starting with next Saturday for a Halloween afternoon contest against Cal State San Marcos. Game time is at 1 p.m.
