CARSON – The Stanislaus State women's volleyball team ended its regular season with an outstanding win over Cal State Dominguez Hills in straight sets on Saturday night at the Torodome.
Controlling the match on both offense and defense, the Warriors ends the regular season with their second three-set sweep of the weekend and will roll into the CCAA Tournament on a three-match winning streak. Now 13-14 overall and 10-8 in the CCAA, Stan State defeated the Toros (9-16, 6-11 CCAA) with ease, 25-19, 25-12, 25-21.
Stanislaus State clinches third place in the CCAA North Division and will return to the CCAA postseason tournament for the second consecutive year. The Warriors will face the No. 2 team in the South Division to begin the postseason next Thursday in San Bernardino.
Even though Cal State L.A. finished second in the division, the Golden Eagles are facing sanction and may have to nullify some CCAA wins which would drop them down to third. The Warriors' most likely opening round opponent is UC San Diego, a team Stan State beat last week soundly in its home finale.
Saturday night in Carson, outside hitters

Chico State won the CCAA North with a 15-3 CCAA mark followed by Sonoma State (12-5). Cal State East Bay finished fourth at 9-9. In the South, Cal State San Bernardino won the division at 15-2, followed by Cal State L.A., UC San Diego and Cal State San Marcos (8-9). With CSUSM ineligible to compete in the postseason during its transition, Cal State Dominguez Hills will be the No. 4 seed out of the South at 6-11.
