Series Notes: The Warriors are now 12-29 against Chico State in the head-to-head series after the Wildcats won twice during the 2016 regular season. Chico State won 3-0 on Oct. 15 in Turlock and 3-1 on Oct. 22 in Chico. The last time Stan State posted a win over Chico State was last Oct. 6, 2015, a 3-0 win (snapping a six-match losing streak) at Fitzpatrick Arena.

First Postseason Win: Thursday's win over UC San Diego was the Warriors' first postseason victory. Last season, the Warriors qualified for the postseason for the first time during the institution's Division II era … The last time the Warriors were in the postseason was in 1981 and 1982 as a Division III program (they lost both first round matches).

Great Day for Middles: Both Taylor Massengale and Daryan Heathcott posted best games Thursday afternoon. Massengale had season-highs with 18 kills and six blocks. She had recorded 17 kills in two previous matches this season and now has 11 double-digit kill matches in 2016 … Heathcott's 14 kills was a Warrior-career high. It was Heathcott's third double-digit kill game. She also had two blocks.

Assists Milestone: Maddi Seidl is eight assists shy of 1,000 for the season, which is just the fourth time a Warrior setter manages to surpass this milestone. The last time a Warrior had 1,000 or more assists in a season was in 2000 (Valerie Lopez) … Entering tonight's match, Seidl has 1,844 career assists, in two seasons, which would puts her fourth on the Stan State top-10 list, four shy of tying Lopez (1999-2001).

Another Record for Blair? Blair Ehrlich needs just 10 kills tonight to set a new Stan State single season record in kills. She would surpass Warrior Athletics Hall of Famer Sarah Barnett, who had 419 kills in 2002.

Other Top 5 Listers: Taylor Massengale now has 209 total blocks in her career, good for fifth on the Stan State career top 10 list … Blair Ehrlich is No. 3 in career kills with 1,302 and holds the school record with 4,461 career attacks.

All-CCAA picks: Blair Ehrlich garnered an All-CCAA first-team award Wednesday night at the pre-tournament banquet. It is the Warriors' first All-CCAA first-team pick since 2011 (Lianne Vicchio) … Taylor Massengale was named to the second team for the second straight year and Maddi Seidl also picked up a second-team award.

Hot Streak: The Warriors have now won four consecutive matches and five of their last six contests. They beat UC San Diego for the second time in 14 days … The 5-1, six-match winning mark is the team's best since starting the 2015 season 7-0.

Three Set Sweeps: Prior to yesterday, all 13 Stan State wins were three-set sweeps, including all 10 conference wins. The Warriors are an impressive 13-5 in three-set matches.
