SEASIDE — Cal State Monterey Bay used six doubles and went yard twice as the potent offense utilizes home field advantage to rout Stanislaus State, 11-3, in a non-conference game on Sunday.
The Warriors weren't able to come up with enough hits with runners on base on the day as they fell to 7-3 while the Otters are 10-1.
Andrew Mallon had two hits, including a RBI double in the fifth, and
Patrick Mulry drove in two scores with a single in the eighth to account for the Stan State scoring.
CSUMB jumped out on top 3-0 in the first by opening the inning reaching base on a Warrior error. Then the Otters scored runs with a double and a Kevin Davidson homer. Two doubles and a single in the third resulted in another three-run inning. Myles Hager added a 2-run homerun in the sixth to make it 9-1.
Hager ended up with a 2-for-4, three-RBI day with a double and a homer to lead the Otters.
Starter
Jordan Kron suffered his first loss to drop to 3-1. He lasted five innings but gave up seven runs on eight hits. He did strike out five batters. Four other Warrior pitchers —
