Series Notes: The Warriors will face Cal State Monterey Bay for the 25
th time on Friday. The Warriors defeated the Otters in straight sets twice in the 2015 season, leaving them 9-15 against the Otters. On Saturday the Warriors will take on Cal State East Bay for the 16
th time since they joined the CCAA. The Warriors had one victory and one loss against the Pioneers in 2015, losing in five sets, and winning in three, respectively.

Conference Opener: This Friday marks the official opening of conference play. In 2015, the Warriors opened the CCAA schedule with a 3-0 win against San Francisco State, to start the season 7-0. The Warriors also won their 2012 conference opener against Humboldt State.

Ehrlich Makes All-Tournament Team: At the D2 West Region Showcase hosted by the Warriors this past weekend, outside hitter
Blair Ehrlich was chosen for the all-tournament team. Ehrlich dominated the tournament by leading in kills per set (5.15), and points (74 total, 5.69 average per set). She was the only player to rank first on two of the seven top 10 lists. Ehrlich also made the tournament's top 10 digs per set list at number nine with 3.08.

Just Five Away: With 103 kills thus far this season,
Blair Ehrlich now has 995 kills, five spikes away from 1,000 in her career. Only three former Warriors have ever reached the 1,000-kill mark: Sarah Barnett (1,401), Lianne Vicchiio (1,383) and Angie Tribble (1,204).

Other Tournament Stars: In addition to Ehrlich's tournament accomplishments, five other Warriors made it onto the tournaments top 10 lists.
Daryan Heathcott was number one in the tournament averaging one block per set.
Taylor Massengale made it on to five top ten lists with a .293 hitting percentage (eighth), 2.69 kills per set (eighth), 0.38 serving aces per set (sixth), 0.92 blocks per set (fourth), and 3.62 points per set (seventh). Setter
Maddi Seidl had the third highest assists averaging 9.92 per set, and
Morgan Miller landed eighth in blocks per set with 0.71.
About Cal State Monterey Bay: Anela Visesio and Maddy Underwood have led the Otters pre season offense thus far. Visesio averages 2.93 kills per set (82 total), and Underwood averages 2.89 kills per set (81 total). Ashlynn Armstrong leads the Otters defensively with 4.32 digs per set, 121 overall. Her defensive efforts are aided by Chandler McKean who has accumulated 20 blocks.

About Cal State East Bay: The Pioneers pre season offense has been led by Deja Thompson with 94 kills (3.13 average per set). Thompson also leads her team with 117 points in their seven matches. East Bay's defense is dominated by Brandi Brucato with 151 total digs (5.03 average per set). Kathy McKiernan has amassed 21 blocks, followed by three other Pioneers who are also in double digits.
