Series Notes: Stanislaus State has faced Cal State San Bernardino 37 times since 1998 with only three victories against the Coyotes. The Warriors defeated the Coyotes at home in 2015, the first time since 2000. Stan State lost to the Coyotes in the 2015 CCAA tournament first-round match … In the past 17 years, the Warriors have defeated Cal Poly Pomona eight times out of their 35 face-offs. Stan State is 7-11 against the Broncos at home, defeating them in their only competition against Cal Poly Pomona in 2015.
No. 17 Again: The last time the Warriors host Cal State San Bernardino (in that epic upset last Nov. 7), the Coyotes were ranked No. 17. CSUSB is once again at No. 17 in this week's AVCA Top 25 poll.

Senior Night Upset: On Nov. 7, 2015 the Warriors executed one of the most surprising upsets of the season. In 7th place in the CCAA standings at the time, the Warriors took down the 17th ranked Cal State San Bernardino Coyotes in five sets, making it an extra special senior night for the three Warrior Seniors. Stan State took sets two, four, and five, winning set five by a mere three points. Many current Warriors led the team statistically against the Coyotes.
Blair Ehrlich headed the front row with 14 kills,
Maddi Seidl facilitated the offense with 25 assists, and
Jocelyn Cervantes led the Warriors defense with 17 digs.

On Her Way to The Top: Setter
Maddi Seidl had a solid week with two strong matches. Against Academy of Art last Tuesday, Seidl matched her season-high with 45 assists. Over the weekend, Seidl had another high night with 36 assists. She is currently third among CCAA leaders with an average of 10.24 assists per set, behind Chico State's Torey Thompson (10.83) and Jayann DeHoog (10.64) of Cal State San Bernardino.

Home Stretch: The Warriors are home on Friday for their eighth home game of September. Over the past four weeks, the Warriors have only been on the road once, traveling to Humboldt State this past weekend. Stanislaus State is in the middle of a stretch where it will play 11 of 12 matches at home from Sept. 8 to Oct. 8.

About Cal State San Bernardino: Lauren Nicholson leads the Coyotes offense with an average of 4.29 kills per set. She is also responsible for 190 out of the Coyotes 685 overall points for the season. Abby Vollkommer leads San Bernardino's back row with 4.66 digs per set. The Coyotes have accumulated 49 aces and 92 blocks so far this season.

About Cal Poly Pomona: Â The Broncos front row is being led thus far by Deanna Blaine, averaging 2.84 kills per set. She is followed by Alexandra Gresham who averages 2.69 kills per set. Samantha Figueroa is heading up the Broncos defense with an average of 5.13 digs per set.
