Warriors wrap up season at Cal State East Bay and Cal State Monterey Bay

For their last week of play in 2017, the Stanislaus State volleyball team will travel to Cal State East Bay on Friday and Cal State Monterey Bay on Saturday to wrap up their season.

Series Notes: Stan State is 9-9 against the Pioneers, losing to them earlier this season on Oct. 14th. The Warriors took CSUEB to five sets at home, losing 14-16 in the decisive set. Yisel Perez led Stan State's offense against the Pioneers with 18 kills … The Warriors are 11-16 against Cal State Monterey Bay, taking a loss to the Otters on Oct. 13th in three sets.  
 
Season Finale: Unable to earn a spot into the CCAA championship tournament, the Warriors are in their final week of the 2017 season. Finishing sixth in the conference, Stan State was only three wins away from a potential tournament bid … Stan State will be fighting to keep a streak alive, as they have won their last two final CCAA matches of the year.

About Cal State East Bay:  Outside hitter Kiki Leuteneker currently leads the Otters offense with an average of 2.71 kills per set. Setters Katie Ireland and Audrey Lamoureux split time running CSUEB's offense, Ireland averaging 7.20 assists per set and Lamouruex with 5.03 assists per set. Libero Brandi Brucato is the leading defender for the Pioneers with 4.35 digs per set … Last weekend Cal State East Bay stayed close to home, defeating San Francisco State in four sets on Friday and losing to Sonoma State in four sets on Saturday.

About Cal State Monterey Bay: Cal State Monterey Bay's current offensive leader is outside hitter Maddy Underwood with 3.33 kills per set. Underwood is also second on her team with 2.93 digs per set behind Ashlynne Armstrong with 4.67 digs per set. Setter Erica Chapa facilitates the CSUMB offense with 10.13 assists per set … Last weekend the Otters lost to Sonoma State in four sets on Friday and were victorious against San Francisco State in straight sets on Saturday night.
