The last time the teams played in Chico was on Oct. 4, 2015, a 2-1 overtime win for the Wildcats. Chico State holds the all-time edge, 16-11-6 … The Warriors have an impressive 18-5-5 record against San Francisco State. They are undefeated versus the Gators since losing five straight from 1998 to 2000. Since the start of the 2001 season, Stan State is 18-0-5 against SF State, including a 11-0-1 mark since October of 2008.

BLANKED TWICE ON THE ROAD: Stan State was blanked twice, losing 1-0 both times at Cal State San Marcos and UC San Diego last weekend. This was nearly the same way the team started its 2016 CCAA schedule with road defeats at Cal State Dominguez Hills (0-1) and Cal State L.A. (0-2) — and they still bounced back to advance to the CCAA Tournament.

OVER-POWERING THE GATORS: It's a pretty incredible feat to dominate a team as much as the Warriors did against SF State. In their last 23 meetings, the Warriors are 18-0-5 against the Gators with a 11-0-1 mark since 2008. In fact, the Warriors have not allowed a Gator goal since Oct. 12, 2012. In the last five shutouts (4-0-1), the Warriors have outscored SF State, 5-0. The teams played to a scoreless tie on Sept. 18, 2015 in Turlock.

LEADING THE CCAA: Despite not scoring last weekend, Stan State still leads the CCAA with 15 goals scored this season with a 2.145 goals per match average, which is second best … Jade Poon is second in the CCAA with six goals and 13 points, trailing only Cal State L.A.'s Paulina Chaidez (7 goals, 15 points) … Haley Crook's .833 saves percentage is tied for fifth. She is also fifth with a 0.80 GAA.

ABOUT THE OPPONENTS: Chico State also lost at UC San Diego (3-0) and Cal State San Marcos (2-1) last weekend on the road. The Wildcats had won three straight prior to that win quality wins over Concordia-Portland (2-0) and Azusa Pacific (2-1, OT). Erin Woods leads the team with five goals and 12 points. She has three game-winning goals. Claire Abele, who has played in every second, has a 1.49 GAA and two shutouts … SF State is led by Laura Shea (4 goals) and Bianca Lowe (3 goals) offensively. Nicki Rucki and Christina Holquin have split time guarding the net, each with three starts. The Gators have won five straight with three consecutive shutouts with wins over Bridgeport (3-0), Academy of Art (2-0) and Holy Names (1-0).
