WORDS FROM HEAD COACH GABRIEL BOLTON

"We played an excellent first half. Our build up was very good and we dominated the ball. But in the second half UCSD did what they do which is create chances off of crosses and set pieces."

"It's no secret what they want to do. It's a matter of stopping them which is the difficult part. We needed to be more disciplined and play like we did in the first half. But we got away from our style and it hurt us. We will learn from this game and come back more determined and prepared."

NOTEWORTHY
  • The Warriors are 5-18-1 against the Tritons since they first met in 2000.
  • Stan State lost to No. 6 UCSD last season, 0-3, on October 25, 2018.
