Surprise, Ariz.—The Warriors finished out their season with a great win against the Vulcans of Hawaii Hilo. After losing their first round on Wednesday, the Stan State tennis team did not let that get them down as they went into Thursday's match ready to give it their all. The women beat to the Vulcans 4-3.
 
The Vulcans took the point in the doubles competition when Megan Hagerty and Maria Ochoa were the only doubles team to take a win of 6-2. Cassidy Ferrell and Kayla Nguyen played hard as the fell 7-5.
 
At No. 1 singles, Cassidy Ferrell took the only point for the Warriors for the first couple hours when she finished in two unanswered sets, 6-0, 6-0. Amila Gogalija played late into the night to win in two sets. Kayla Nguyen and Sylvana Talamantes battled the Vulcans all through three sets to bring home the win and the rest of the points.
 
At No. 5 singles, Talamantes brought in the next point to win her match against Hina Nishida, 3-6, 6-1, 6-3.
 
At No. 2, Gogalija brought in another late-night point to tie the overall match 3-3 with Hilo. Gogalija won her sets in two, 6-4, 7-6 (5).
 
To bring home the winning point was Kayla Nguyen in three sets, 6-2, 0-6, 6-3. As the team stood and watched their teammate battle her way to get the win in her last set, Nguyen brought the score to 4-3.
 
The Warriors finish their great season with a record of 12-8.
