Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Scott scores 21, Warriors made 30 free throws to beat Cal State L.A.

LOS ANGELES — After a slow start in a cold gym, the Stanislaus State Warriors got hot in the second half and capitalized on trips to the free throw line to beat Cal State L.A., 85-77, Thursday night.

The Warriors created a little bit of separation between themselves and teams behind them as the fifth place Stan State team now holds a two-game lead over sixth place Cal State East Bay.

Stanislaus State is now 7-4 in the CCAA — just a game behind Cal Poly Pomona (8-3) — and 11-5 overall. The road Warriors posted their 10th victory away from home.
