Brad Sparrer is just a shot back at 221 to tie for sixth and Benjamin Graham shot nine-over par for 10th.

This is the first time during the 2019-20 season that three Warriors finished in the top 10.

Chris Ebster carded a +11, 224 for 18th, giving Stan State four players in the top 20.

COUNTING ALL FOUR SCORES
Michael Jura had to withdraw from play Tuesday morning with a wrist injury, forcing the Warriors to have to count all four scores in the third and final round.

"They really stepped up when they knew they had to and were able to secure the win," said head coach Brandon Christiansen.

GOT OFF TO A GOOD START
Collectively the Warriors shot a 286 on Monday's first round to set themselves up for the win. Stan State was second, five back of Cal State San Marcos after one round of play. By the end of the day on Monday and after two rounds of play, Stan State led the field with a 577 total, six strokes ahead of Cal State Monterey Bay.

"It was the strong play from the whole lineup on day one that put us in the position to win," Christiansen commented.

All five Warriors shot +6 or better after 36 holes on Monday. Michael Jura was at 4-over, 146.

FIRST TEAM WIN IN A WHILE
The team win marks the first time Stanislaus State won a regular season tournament since posting four victories during the 2012-13 season. The Warriors also won the 2014 CCAA Championship in Stockton.

In 2013-14, the Warriors finished second four times. Last year, the Warriors finished second at the Hanny Stanislaus Invitational.

So far in 2019-20, Stan State has posted four top five finishes and was third at the WWU Invitational last September.

NEXT EVENT
The Warriors are off from tournament play for a few weeks until March 16-17 when they take part in the Pioneer Shootout in Alameda.
