Volleyball Hosts Two Nationally Ranked Opponents in Weekend Back-to-Back

LAST MATCH: The Warriors were able to dominate Dominican University in their most recent match, securing a 3-0 win on the road. Haley Burdo showed out with some impressive passing as she posted a new career-high 31 assists. The day before, Stanislaus State took down Chico State 3-0 for their second straight win over the Wildcats to remain undefeated for the week.
 
UPDATE ON THE WARRIORS: Stan State is now 15-5 overall this season with a 5-2 home record and a 6-3 record on the road. 
 
AMONGST THE CCAA LEADERS: The team steps into the new week retaining their #5 spot in the conference. Tied with Sonoma and San Francisco State at 6-4 in the CCAA, games down the final stretch of the regular season could prove to be crucial. Defensively, the Warriors are currently 2nd in opponent hitting percentage, 5th in hitting percentage, 4th in digs, and 4thin service aces. Alex Byrd has been a standout performer on both sides of the net, moving up to 2nd in hitting percentage (.383) and 4th in blocks (1.15). Gabby Rawson remains the top libero in the conference with 4.76 digs per set.
 
BRONCOS IN REVIEW: #18 Cal Poly Pomona is coming off two straight losses against San Bernardino, but still sits at 2ndoverall in the conference standings. The team is 1st in blocks, 1st in hitting percentage, and 2nd in kills this season. Their primary hitter, Junior Daisy Duke, is currently 2nd in the CCAA in kills and 4th in hitting percentage. Junior Kaitlan Tucker makes this matchup tough for the Warriors defensively as the conference leader in blocks.
 
ALL-TIME SERIES: The Broncos won their last two matchups against Stanislaus State back in 2021 and command the series over the Warriors 6-19 since 2007.
 
COYOTES IN REVIEW: Cal State San Bernardino has consistently shown why they are a top-5 team in the CCAA and are now tied at #13 in the national rankings with a 14-3 record. They are currently the second-best hitting team in the conference, led by Redshirt Senior Lydia Morohunfola, who is 1st in hitting percentage in the CCAA and 3rd in the nation. 

ALL-TIME SERIES: Since 2007, the Warriors have struggled mightily against the 'Yotes. Their first and only win was a 3-2 home victory in 2015.
