TURLOCK, Calif.--- Stan State women's soccer team will return to the pitch this Thursday, October 6 when the Warriors face Cal Poly Humboldt at 3pm in Arcata, Calif. They will return home this Sunday, October 9 to face Chico State at 2pm at Warrior Field.
LAST TIME ON THE PITCH: Stanislaus State went 1-1 for the second weekend in a row. The Warriors started the weekend with a 2-0 win over SF State on Friday.
Abby Martinez scored her first goal of the season off a corner kick by
Summer England in the 76
th minute.
Arionna Imhoff sealed the win with a goal in the 85
th minute off a ball from
Alexis Brewah. Estrada recorded her third shutout with three saves on the evening. Stan State ended the weekend with a 4-2 loss to Sonoma State. The Warriors took an early 2-0 lead in the first 23 minutes.
Sabrina Cabrera scored their first goal in the ninth minute off a ball from Brewah. Fourteen minutes later, Brewah scored her team leading eighth goal of the season. The Seawolves came back with four unanswered goals to take the 4-2 victory.
UPDATE ON THE WARRIORS: Stan State is 5-3-2 overall and 2-2 in the CCAA. The Warriors are in seventh place with six points, just one out point out of fourth place. The top six teams at the end of the regular season will receive a berth to the CCAA Championships.
Alexis Brewah leads the way for the Warriors with her eight goals, five assists and 21 points.
Sabrina Cabrera is second on the team wit her four goals, one assist and 10 points.
Summer England is next with two goals and two assists followed by
Alisha Garcia and
Arionna Imhoff each with a goal and an assist.
Alexia Estrada has a 1.22 goals against average with three shutouts and a .838 shutout percentage.
AMONGST THE NCAA/CCAA LEADERS: Alexis Brewah and
Alexia Estrada are amongst the nation's leaders in eight statistical categories. Brewah is 14
th in total points, 15

th in total goals, 20
th in total assists and goals per game and 23
rd in assists per game. Estrada is 25
th in total saves and 26
th in saves per game. The duo along with
Sabrina Cabrera are in the top ten in the CCAA in eight statistical categories. Brewah is second in goals and points and tied for first in assists. Cabrera is tied for third in game-winning goals, fifth in goals scored and sixth in points. Estrada is first in saves per game, second in saves percentage, tied for eighth in shutouts and tenth in goals against average.
UPDATE ON THE LUMBERJACKS: Cal Poly Humboldt is 4-3-3 overall and 1-1-2 in the CCAA after tying Cal State Los Angeles 1-1 and defeating Cal Poly Pomona 2-0. Frida Duran Arellano leads the team with her one goal, four assists and six points followed by Emma McChristie with two goals, one assist and five points. Kylea Becker has scored a goal and added two assists while Jysabella Tolentino has two goals. Carson Thomson-Terrel leads the Jacks with her 1.04 goals against average, .750 saves percentage and five shutouts.
ALL-TIME SERIES: Stan State leads the all-time series with the Jacks 19-6 including winning nine of the last ten meetings. The Warriors defeated Humboldt 2-1 last season in Turlock.
UPDATE ON THE WILDCATS: Chico State, who is receiving votes in this week's national poll, went 0-1-1 last weekend at home tying Cal Poly Pomona 0-0 and losing 1-0 to Cal State Los Angeles. The Wildcats are 5-2-3 overall and 2-1-1 in the CCAA. Mackenzie Gill leads the way with her three goals, two assists and eight points followed by Susanna Garcia and Piper Matson each with two goals, two assists and six points. Emma Hoffman has posted a 0.53 goals against average with a .886 saves percentage and five shutouts.
ALL-TIME SERIES: Chico State leads the all-time series with the Warriors 15-13-3. Stan State is 2-1-1 in its last five meetings with the Wildcats. The Warriors tied Chico State 0-0 in Turlock last season and defeated the Wildcats 2-1 in 2019 in Turlock.
