TURLOCK — The Stanislaus State and Cal State San Marcos softball teams engaged in two more close battles Saturday, with the Cougars pulling away for a 6-3 win in game one, and eeking out a 3-2 win in game two to sweep a doubleheader and complete a four-game California Collegiate Athletic Association series sweep at Warrior Field.

Stanislaus State (2-7, 0-4 CCAA) got complete-game efforts in the circle from both
Delaney Pamplin (1-2) and
Victoria Alarcon (0-1). Offensively, the Warriors got hits in both games from
Karli DalBianco (3 for 8, 3 RBIs, run) and
Lauryn Serda (2 for 7, two runs).

Savannah Coyle saved both games for the Cougars (10-1, 4-0 CCAA) after winning both games on Friday. She threw two innings of shutout relief in both games, striking out three and only allowing one hit. Morgan Salgado went a combined 3 for 6 with a double, two runs scored and an RBI. Bianca Gutierrez went 3 for 5 with two RBIs and a run scored.
