TURLOCK, Calif.---  Stan State women's soccer team will look to clinch a spot in the CCAA Women's Soccer Championships for the fourth straight year this Thursday, November 2 in their regular season finale at Chico State.  The Warriors will face the Wildcats in 2pm starting match in Chico.  Stan State heads into the regular season finale tied for sixth place with Cal Poly Humboldt.  The top six teams in the regular season standings will receive a bid to the 2023 CCAA Women's Soccer Championships.  The first round starts on Sunday, November 5 at the sites of the third and fourth seeded teams.  The semi-finals and final matches will be Friday and Saturday, November 10 and 12 at Cardinale Stadium on the campus of Cal State Monterey Bay in Seaside, Calif. 
 
1-0-1 IN FINAL HOME WEEKEND: Stan State went 1-0-1 in its final home matches of the regular season.  The Warriors started the week with a 2-2 draw with Cal State Monterey Bay.   Aliah Avilla and Shauna Johnston each scored goals against the Otters.  On Avilla's goal, Alexis Brewah and Daisy Martinez each had an assist. Avilla assisted on Johnston's goal.  In their 3-0 win on Senior Day, Alisha Garcia, Marivic Lek-Miro, and Haylee Heffner each scored the goals for the Warriors. Brewah had two assists, Avilla had one assist and Sunny Mancilla had one.  Malia Allen had three saves in goal for the Warriors en route to her fourth shutout of the season. 
 
UPDATE ON THE WARRIORS:  Stan State enters its regular season finale match at Chico State with a 7-5-5 overall record and 4-2-4 CCAA record.  The Warriors are in a tie for sixth place with Cal Poly Humboldt each with 18 points. Alexis Brewah leads the team with her six goals, nine assists, 21 points, and two game-winning goals.  Haylee Heffner and Aliah Avilla are tied for second each with nine points. Heffner has four goals and one assist for her nine points.  Avilla has two goals and a team high five goals for her nine points.  Malia Allen has a 0.68 goals against average with 46 saves, four shutouts, and a .885 saves percentage in 11 matches.  Natalia Ochoa has a 1.72 goals against average with 35 saves and a .714 saves percentage in ten matches.    

200:  In the Warriors' 2-0 win at Cal State Dominguez Hills, nineteenth-year head coach Gabriel Bolton recorded his 200^th career win on the sidelines for Stan State Warrior women's soccer.  He is 201-109-42 in his career at Stan State.  
 
Last season, the Warriors went 10-4-4 overall and 7-2-2 in the CCAA and were CCAA co-regular season champions.  Alexis Brewah was the 2022 CCAA Newcomer of the Year and Sabrina Cabrera was the CAA Midfielder of the Year.  Brewah and Cabrera each were named to the First Team All-CCAA and the All-Region Team.  Four Warriors were selected to the Honorable Mention Team in Alexia Estrada, Summer England, Sunny Mancilla, and Jocelyn Lopez.  In 2013, Bolton was named the NSCAA West Region Coach of the Year and the CCAA Coach of the Year.  He is the Warriors Women's Soccer All-Time Winningest Coach. 
 
Bolton has guided the Warriors to nine postseason appearances, including four NCAA Tournaments and nine California Collegiate Athletic Association championship tournaments. He led the program to an unprecedented seven consecutive post-season appearances from 2010-16, including two CCAA Tournament titles and the 2014 NCAA West Region Championship.
 
PLAY-OFF HUNT:  Heading into its final match of the regular season at Chico State on Thursday, Stan State is in a tie for sixth place with 16 points.  The top six teams at the end of the regular season will receive a berth in the 2023 CCAA Soccer Championships.  The first round is set for November 5 at the sites of the number three and fourth seeded teams.  The semifinals and final matches will be November 10 and 12 at Cardinale Stadium in Seaside, Calif., on the campus of Cal State Monterey Bay.  All regular season finales will be at 2pm this Thursday, November 2.

HONOR:  Malia Allen was named the Pixellot/CCAA Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for her performance in the Warriors' matches at Cal Poly Humboldt and against Sonoma State, October 12 and 15. Allen played a key role in Stan State's 1-0-1 weekend against the Lumberjacks and Seawolves.  She started the week as she faced 25 shots and recorded ten saves in the Warriors' scoreless draw at Cal Poly Humboldt on October 12 in Arcata, Calif.  This was Allen's first shutout in a Stan State uniform.  
 
CCAA STATS:  Alexis Brewah leads the CCAA with her nine assists, .529 assists per game average, 21 points, and 1.24 points per game average.  She is tied for sixth with six goals and tied for eighth in .353 goals per game average. Malia Allen is first in the CCAA with her .895 saves percentage while she is third in goals against average (.677), fourth in saves per game (4.18), fifth in shutouts per game (.364), seventh with four shutouts, and eighth with her 46 saves. Aliah Avilla is tied for fourth with her five assists and seventh with her .294 assists per game average.  
 
NATIONALLY RANKED: Alexis Brewah is ninth in the NCAA Division II with her nine assists. Malia Allen is ninth with her .885 saves percentage.  
 
MOVIN' ON UP:  Alexis Brewah is tied for fifth with her 18 assists and seventh with her 50 goals on the Warriors' career list in the NCAA DII era of women's soccer at Stan State. 
 
UPDATE ON THE WILDCATS:  Chico State enters Thursday's match with Stan State with a 11-5-1 record including a 6-3-1 CCAA record.  The Wildcats are 3-2 in their last five matches including defeating SF State 2-1 on Friday and Cal State Monterey Bay 1-0.  Avery Pieri and Summer Baron are tied the team lead each with nine points.  Pieri has four goals with one assist and Baron has three goals and three assists.  Hannah Pieri and Jiana Martin are tied for third on the team each with eight points (three goals, two assists).  Emma Hofmann has a 1.00 goals against average with 72 saves, .828 saves percentage, and six shutouts in 15 matches in goal.  
 
LAST TIME:  Chico State defeated the Warriors 2-1 in a non-conference match on September 23 in Turlock.  Hannah Pieri scored the game-winning goal with five minutes left in the match off a pass from Avery Pieri.  Chico State took a 1-0 lead in the 21^st minute on a goal by Avery Pieri on a cross from Piper Mason.  Stan State tied the match at 1-1 at the 84:25 mark on a goal by Abby Martinez on a pass from Alexis Brewah.  

ALL-TIME SERIES: Chico State leads the all-time series with the Warriors 11-10-5.  Stan State 1-1-3 against the Wildcats in the last five meetings between the two teams.  The Warriors last defeated Chico State 2-1 on Oct. 30, 2019, in Turlock.  The last time the two teams played in Chico was on Oct. 17, 2021, which ended in a scoreless draw.
