TURLOCK, Calif.---  As announced by the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) office, former Stan State women's soccer standout Karenee Demery will be inducted into the CCAA Hall of Fame Class of 2023. 

Besides Demery being inducted into this year's CCAA Hall of Fame Class, she joins Tony Alfaro of Cal State Dominguez Hills, Kim Ford of Cal State San Bernardino, Sherri Howard of Cal State LA, JJ Jakovac of Chico State, Violet Palmer of Cal Poly Pomona, and Chrissy Stalf of Cal Poly Humboldt were all selected by the CCAA Hall of Fame committee to comprise the class of 2023

Demery, who was inducted into the Stanislaus State Hall of Fame in 2020, was the 2013 National Soccer Coaches of America Association (NSCAA) Player of the Year. Also in 2013, Demery Capitol One  Academic All-America Payer of the Year. 

"In my opinion, Karenee (Demery) is the greatest women's soccer player in CCAA history, said Stan State Head Women's Soccer Coach Gabriel Bolton.  "Not only did she post incredible stats, but she transformed an entire program into what it is today.  I've never coached a better player or person and nobody deserves this honor more."

Besides receiving NSCAA All-American honors in 2013, Demery was an All-American in 2012 and 2011. She was named to the Daktronics All-American Team all four years of her career at Stan State.  She was a three-time Daktronics West Region Player of the Year and played for the United States U23 Women's National Soccer Team. 

Demery scored 75 career goals with 30 assists for 180 points with 29 game winning goals — all of them Stanislaus State records.

She was a four-time All-CCAA first team pick, including being named the CCAA Freshman of the Year (2010) and the CCAA Player of the Year (2013). Demery led the Warriors to two CCAA Championships in 2011 and 2013.

Demery was named the Stan State Female Athlete of the Year three times and received the Warrior Athletics Career Achievement Award in 2013-14.
