SEASIDE, Calif.--- Playing in a cold and damp morning that slowed played in the first two rounds, Stan State sits in twelfth place with heading in the final day of the Otter Invitational at the par-72 Bayonet Golf Course in Seaside, Calif. Leading the way for the Warriors is
Nate Jetton with his one-over par through the first 33 holes which places him in a five-way tie for ninth place. The end of the second round was called due to darkness. They will finish the second tomorrow beginning at 8:00 a.m. with the third and final round to start immediately after the conclusion of the second round.
WARRIORS AS A TEAM: Stan State started the day with a first-round score of 305 (+17). The Warriors are currently shooting a ten-over par round with between two to four holes left in the second round. Heading into the final day, the Warriors are 30-over par and sit in twelfth place in the nineteen-team invitational.
INDIVIDUALS: Nate Jetton leads the way with his one-over par score which places him in a five-way tie for ninth place with twenty-holes left in the invite.
Chase Bird has shot a six-over par score after his first 33 holes and sits in a six-way tie for 37
th place.
Jack Peters is in a four-way tie for 62
nd place with his ten-over par first 32 holes.
Rey Rosas is three strokes behind Peters with his thirteen-over par score which places him in a five-way tie for 76
th place. Right behind Rosas are
Ricky Sullivan and
Armaan Sahota in a three-way tie for 81
st place.
TOP FIVE INDIVIDUALS: Heading into the final three holes of the second round, Cal State East Bay sits in first place with a five-under par score after shooting a 67 this morning. There is a three-way tie for second place each with a two-under par score with between three to four holes left in their second round in Jack Hayden (Santa Clara), Jonah Camarillo (Cal State Dominguez Hills), and Marius Dosiere (Colorado State Pueblo). Cal State East Bay's Ananjan Kaushik is in fifth place with a one-=under par score heading into the final 21 holes of the invite.
TOP THREE TEAMS: Cal State East Bay leads the tournament field with a one-under par score after shooting a 283 this morning. Chico State is five strokes behind the Pioneers in second place followed by Colorado State Pueblo in third place with a ten-over par score.
BIRDIES/PARS: Nate Jetton has recorded nine birdies after his first thirty-three holes of the Otter Invitational.
Chase Bird has recorded 22 pars heading into his final day of the invitational which ties him for eighth most in the tournament field.
TOMORROW'S FINAL ROUND: Stan State will commence its final holes of the second round at 8:00 a.m. tomorrow morning, October 15. The third round will begin as soon as the second round is completed at the par-72 Bayonet Golf Course in Seaside, Calif.
AFTER OTTER: After tomorrow's final round, the Warriors will conclude their fall season in Hawai'i, October 21-26 compositing in two invitationals. SPRING SEASON: The complete Spring 2025 schedule will be announced in December. Stan State will host the 50
th Annual Hanny Stanislaus Invitational, April 14-15, at Turlock Golf & Country Club in Turlock, Calif. The 2024-25 CCAA Men's Golf Championships at the Sandpiper Golf Club in Santa Barbara, Calif. This year's NCAA Division II West/South Central Regional will be hosted by The Victoria Club in Riverside, Calif., May 8-10. The PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., will host the NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championships, May 19-25.
