SEASIDE, Calif.---
Nate Jetton led the Stan State Warriors with his one-over par 217 at the three-round Otter Invitational at the par-72 Bayonet Golf Course. As a team, the Warriors finished in eleventh place at the 19-team invitational with a thirty-seven over par 901. Cal State East Bay captured the team title with the Pioneers' four-over par 868 (293-296-289). Jack Hayden, playing as an individual from Santa Clara, was the individual medalist with his five-under par 211.
WARRIORS: Nate Jetton shot two 72's and a 73 to finish with his one-over par 217 which tied him for 14
th. Finishing eight stroke Jetton was
Chase Bird who shot a nine-over par 225 (73-77-75). With his 225, Bird tied for 34
th place.
Jack Peters' shot an eleven-over par 227 (79-74-74) to finish in a tie for 44
th place. Six strokes behind Peters with his 17-over par 233 (82-76-75) was
Ricky Sullivan to finish in a tie for 74
th place.
Armaan Sahota and
Rey Rosas finished tied for 91
st place each with a 240.
TOP TEAM/INDIVIDUALS: Cal State East Bay captured the Otter Invitational with a four-over par 868 (293-296-289). Three strokes behind the Pioneers were Cal State Monterey Bay (871) followed by Chico State in third place with an 874. Playing as an individual from Santa Clara was Jack Hayden who captured the individual medalist honors with a five-under par 211 (77-65-69). Finishing in a three-way tie for second place each with a four-under par 212 were Marius Dosiere (Colorado State Pueblo), Victor Estas (West Texas A&M) and Ananjan Kaushik (Cal State East Bay).
BIRDIES/PARS: Nate Jetton recorded 13 birdies this past two days which tied him for fourth most in the tournament field.
Chase Bird finished with 38 pars which was the third most in the field.
HAWAI'I NEXT: The Warriors will conclude their fall season in Hawai'i, October 21-26 compositing in two invitationals. They will be at the Dennis Rose Intercollegiate October 21-22 at the Mauna Lani North Golf Course in Waimea, Hawai'i. Stan State will conclude its fall season, October 25-26 at the Southwest Airlines HPU Shark Shootout at the Hapuna Golf Course in Waimea, Hawai'i.
