WAIKOLOA, HI.---  Heading into the Final Round of the 36-hole Southwest Airlines/HPU Shark Shootout, Stan State sits in a three-way tie for third place with a four-under par 276.  Leading the way for the Warriors are the duo of Jack Peters and Ricky Sullivan each with a three-under par 67 at the par-70 Waikoloa Beach Golf Resort. 

WARRIORS:  The duo of Jack Peters and Ricky Sullivan led the way for the Warriors after the first round each with a three-under par 67.  Peters and Sullivan are in a three-way tie for eighth place.  Four strokes behind them are the duo of Chris Chomyn and Nate Jetton who shot a one-over par 71 which placed them in 13-way tie for 39^th place.  Sitting in a four-way tie for 52^nd place is Chase Bird with his two-over par 72.

TOP FIVE TEAMS:  Cal State East Bay leads the shootout after the first round with its 19-under par 261 followed by No. 1 Colorado Christian with its 16-under par 264.  Sitting in a three-way tie for third place each with a four-under par 276 are the Warriors, Sonoma State, and Colorado Mesa. 

TOP FIVE INDIVIDUALS:  Colorado Christian's Adam Duncan leads the tournament field with a six-under 64.  Sitting in a five-way tie for second place each with a five-under par 65 are Adam Brangefelt (Cal State East Bay), Sangha Park (Colorado Christian), Easton Hether (Cal State East Bay), Ananjan Kaushik (Cal State East Bay), and Colin Huang (Sonoma State. 

TOMORROW'S PAIRINGS:  Stan State will be paired with Cal State East Bay, Colorado Christian, and Colorado Mesa tomorrow in the second and final round.  The Warriors will start on holes one through three on the 7:30 a.m. (HT) shotgun start.   

SPRING SEASON:  The complete Spring 2025 schedule will be announced in December.  Stan State will host the 50^th Annual Hanny Stanislaus Invitational, April 14-15, at Turlock Golf & Country Club in Turlock, Calif. The 2024-25 CCAA Men's Golf Championships at the Sandpiper Golf Club in Santa Barbara, Calif.  This year's NCAA Division II West/South Central Regional will be hosted by The Victoria Club in Riverside, Calif., May 8-10.  The PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., will host the NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championships, May 19-25.
