TURLOCK, Calif.--- Stan State had their first home game of the regular season, facing Academy of Art. The Urban Knights had the upper hand tonight and the Warriors fell 57-89.

FIRST QUARTER: Alyssa Premo kicked off scoring for the Warriors with a layup. They kept pace early, responding to Academy of Art's field goals with shots of their own. The Urban Knights began to pull away in the latter half of the period, but Stan State continued to press to ensure they stayed within striking distance.

SECOND QUARTER: The Warriors closed the gap to four points with layups and free throws from
Talia Maxwell plus a jumper in the paint from
Alyssa Premo. Academy of Art was not interested in letting the Warriors get close, landing jumpers and layups of their own to finish the half with the Warriors trailing by 13.

THIRD QUARTER: Academy of Art's Alba Rovira Ayuso started the second half as the only scorer for the Urban Knights with seven points.
Talia Maxwell added points to the board on the side of the Warriors with
Da'Myiah Lewis adding a three of her own.

FOURTH QUARTER: Stan State struggled in the second half of the game against Academy of Art's three-pointers. The Warriors did well in the paint off fastbreaks and second chance balls, adding points in the paint. The Urban Knights kept their lead, closing out the game 57-89.

DOUBLE DIGITS:Â Talia Maxwell,
Da'Myiah Lewis, and Krista Anderson scored double digit points for the Warriors tonight, with Maxwell's 21 points being a career high. Anderson's 10 points are a season high for her.

UP NEXT:Â Stan State heads to Fresno, Calif. to play Fresno Pacific University on Wednesday, November 20
th, scheduled for a 5:00 p.m. tip-off. The Warriors return home on Tuesday, November 26
th to play Jessup University at 5:00 p.m. The following Saturday, November 30
th, Stan State will have their CCAA opener against Cal State Monterey Bay with a 1:00 p.m. tip-off.
