SURPRISE, Ariz.--  Stan State lost 4-1 to the Biola Eagles (16-8) in the First Round of the 2024 PacWest Conference Tennis Championships at the Surprise Tennis & Racquet Club in Surprise, Ariz.  Annabelle Mulick won for the Warriors by a 6-2, 6-3 decision at number three singles.

The Eagles won the doubles' point by winning number one and number two doubles.  The number three doubles' match was unfinished. 

Stan State (5-13) lost at number two singles by a 6-0, 6-2 decision.  Biola solidified the victory by winning at number one singles by a 6-1, 6-2 decision.  Annabelle Mulick picked up the Warriors' point by a 6-2, 6-3 decision at number three singles. 

The Warriors will now play tomorrow evening at 5:00 p.m. against Fresno Pacific. The Sunbirds lost 4-3 to Hawai'i Hilo in their first round match this morning. Biola advances to the quarterfinals tomorrow at 1:00 p.m., to face Concordia Irvine.
