TURLOCK, Calif.--- Stan State men's soccer team will end its non-conference slate of the regular season with two road matches this week. The Warriors will travel to San Francisco this Wednesday, September 25 for an 11:00 a.m. match with Academy of Art. They will finish the week with a 7:00 p.m. starting match at Chico State this Saturday, September 28.
HOME OPENER: After trailing 2-0 at halftime, Stan State rallied back to play to a 2-2 draw with Fresno Pacific in its home opener on September 18.
Jacob Ramirez scored the Warriors' first goal in the 76
th minute on a ball from
Edgar Castaneda. Stan State tied the match with less than five minutes left in regulation on a goal by
Adrian Yepez off a cross from
Kenneth Solares.
Angel Ruiz-Hernandez recorded three saves in goal for the Warriors.

ACADEMY OF ART IN REVIEW: The Urban Knights enter Wednesday's contest with Stan State with a 1-2-1 record after going 1-1 in their two matches in Texas. They lost to St. Mary's (Tex.) 3-0 on Thursday and came back to defeat St. Edward's 1-0 on Saturday. Academy of Art is averaging 0.50 goals a game while giving up 1.50 goals a game. Keita Goto and Elvis Mensah each have scored goals for the Urban Knights and Chris Stokes has an assist. Florian Grollman has posted a 1.50 goals against average with 19 saves, two shutouts, and a .760 saves percentage.
ALL-TIME SERIES: Stan State leads the all-time series 4-1-2 with the Urban Knights. The Warriors have won the last three meetings in a row including 3-1 last year in Turlock.
Tyler Tipton scored twice and
Finn Hoffmann added a goal for the hosts.
Leonardo Muniz and
Nick Namwali each had assists. The two teams tied 2-2 in their last time meeting in San Francisco in 2016. Current Warrior assistant,
Desmond Madrigal, scored one of the Warriors' two goals.
CHICO STATE IN REVIEW: The Wildcats enter their rare non-conference match with Stan State this Saturday evening with a 5-1 record. They have won their last five matches in a row since opening the season with a 1-0 loss at Western Washington. Chico State went 2-0 this weekend with a 1-0 victory at Dominican on the road and a 2-1 win at home over Menlo. The Wildcats are averaging 2.00 goals a game while giving up 0.67 goals a game. Bryan Manriquez leads the with his six points (two goals and two assists). Four other Wildcats have scored two goals each in Preston Moll, Miles Rice, Thomas Douglas, and Josh Moll. Vasilios Syrengeles has recorded a team leading three assists. Emanuel Padilla has posted a 0.69 goals against average with 17 saves, two shutouts, and a .810 saves percentage in six matches in goal for Chico State.
ALL-TIME SERIES: Chico State leads the all-time series with the Warriors 16-4-3. Stan State went 0-1-1 against the Wildcats last season. The two teams played to a 1-1 draw in Chico in both teams' regular season finale.

th minute. Chico State won the non-conference match in Turlock 3-2. Preston Moll scored the game-winner for the Wildcats in the 58
th minute.
