SEASIDE, Calif.---The No. 3-seeded Stanislaus State women's soccer team's bid for a CCAA Tournament title came up just short Friday evening, as the Warriors fell to No. 2 seed Chico State, 2-1, in double overtime of the CCAA Women's Soccer Tournament semifinals at Cardinale Stadium. Both teams entered the week receiving votes nationally in the United Soccer Coaches poll. The Warriors move to 11-5-4 overall, while Chico State improves to 10-5-4 and advances to Sunday's championship match.
