TURLOCK, Calif.---  Three members of the Stan State men's and women's basketball teams were named to the 2024-25 Academic All-District Men's and Women's Basketball Teams, selected by the College Sports Communicators.  The three Stan State student-athletes to receive this prestigious honor are Jason Cibull, Jeremiah Jones, and Alyssa Premo.

To qualify for Academic All-District honors, a student-athlete must meet the following requirements:  1.) be at least a sophomore athletically and academically, 2.) at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average for undergraduate student or a 3.50 cumulative grade point average as both an undergraduate and grad student, 3.) competed in 90% of the institutions games or start in at least 66% of the games during the 2024-25 season.

This is the third year in a row that Jones has received this honor.  The 2023-24 CCAA Dr. Hal E. Charnofky Award recipient averaged 18.5 points, 4.4 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.1 steals per game this season for the Warriors.

Earlier this month, he was named to the 2024-25 All-CCAA First Team.  This fall, Jones was named to the Stan State Department of Athletics Honor Roll.  Jones scored in double digits in all 27 games he played in this season including a season high 33 points against Western Oregon.  Back in November, the senior guard was named the FloCollege/CCAA Men's Basketball Player of the Week for his performance in Stan State's victories over Western Oregon and Hawai'i Pacific.

This is the first time that Cibull and Premo have been named to the Academic All-District Team.

Cibull saw action in all 28 games for the Warriors this season and averaged 5.4 points and 1.8 assists per game while posting a +1.9 assist/turnover ratio.  He shot 40.5% from three-point land and 85.7% from the charity stripe.  Seven times this season he scored in double digits including a season high 19 points in Stan State's win over Cal State Monterey Bay.

Premo started in 20 of the 28 games she played in her first season as a Warrior.  She averaged 6.3 points and 3.1 rebounds per game.  The junior transfer scored in double digits in six games including a season high 18 points in the Warrior victory over Cal Poly Humboldt.  She was named to the Department of Athletics Honor Roll this Fall Semester.

These three student-athletes' names will be placed on the Academic All-American ballot with that team being announced April 15.
