SEASIDE, Calif.--- Stan State played the second of their two doubleheaders versus Cal State Monterey Bay today, falling in each 5-2 and 12-2.

GAME 1: Cal State Monterey Bay (23-21, 12-16 CCAA) earned their first run in the bottom of the first with a walk and a double. They added four in the bottom of the fourth with a solo home run, a double, single, and a two-run home run. Â

The Warriors (13-27, 8-20 CCAA) scored in the top of the fifth, starting with a one-out single by
Sydney Davis.
Marissa Cerda reached on a fielder's choice that caused Davis to be out at second.
Malia Babasa singled to put two runners on. With
Karli DalBianco up to bat, Babasa and Cerda stole bases, moving them to second and third, respectively. DalBianco singled to score Cerda, while Babasa scored on a throwing error to account for Stan State's two runs.

BEACH: McKenna Beach went a very rare zero-for-zero despite having four plate appearances. This was due to being hit by a pitch in two at bats and walking in her other two.

DALBIANCO: Karli DalBianco went two-for-four while driving in a run. This brings DalBianco's RBI tally up to 18 this season and 68 in her career.

GAME 2: Stan State scored in the first inning to get on the board first.
Karli DalBianco hit a one-out single, followed by
McKenna Beach getting hit by a pitch.
Sarah Warden reached on a fielder's choice to put her on first and DalBianco on third. A wild pitch moved the two runners, allowing DalBianco to score.

The Otters earned three in the bottom of the first, using a solo home run, three singles, and a double. In the second, single and a costly error gave them their fourth run. Cal State Monterey Bay had a productive bottom of the third, beginning with two solo home runs. Five singles, a walk, a double, and a hit by pitch allowed them to go ahead 12-1.

In the fourth,
Sasha Martello led off the inning with a home run, but the Warriors were unable to come back and fell in five innings.

HOMERS: Coming into this series, the Warriors had hit five home runs as a team. Over three of the games, they hit four home runs, with three by
McKenna Beach and one from
Sasha Martello, bringing the team's count up to 9.

DALBIANCO: Karli DalBianco continued to hit well in the second game, going two-for-three and scoring a run. DalBianco has continued her hitting streak up to three games.

th, the doubleheaders begin at 1:00 p.m. On April 19
th, the doubleheader begins at 11:00 a.m., with an egg hunt for fans. After the conclusion of the games, the Senior Day ceremony will be held and there will be a poster signing after.
