TURLOCK, Calif.---Alexis Cervantes recorded a hat trick, and Kenneth Solares scored the game-winning goal in the 76th minute as Stan State men's soccer rallied from a 3-1 halftime deficit to defeat Cal Poly Humboldt 4-3 Saturday evening on Senior Night at Warrior Stadium. Cervantes scored once in the first half and twice in the second half, including the equalizer in the 72nd minute, before Solares completed the comeback just over four minutes later. Adrian Yepez recorded two assists, while Michael Daley and Hugo Canedo each added one as the Warriors outshot the Lumberjacks 34-5, including 22-0 in the second half, before a crowd of 264.

Stan State continued creating opportunities, with Flores sending attempts high and wide in the 16th and 20th minutes. The Warriors finally broke through in the 30th minute when Yepez had a shot saved by McDonald before Cervantes scored on the ensuing play at the 29:38 mark. The goal was Cervantes' seventh of the season, with Yepez credited with the assist, cutting the deficit to 2-1.

The Lumberjacks answered less than four minutes later when DeJon Watson scored his first goal of the season at the 33:15 mark off an assist from Grosveld, restoring Humboldt's two-goal advantage at 3-1.

Stan State nearly pulled within one goal in the 39th minute when Alfredo Figueroa struck the right post. Figueroa followed with another attempt that sailed high as the Warriors continued searching for a second goal.

Despite outshooting Humboldt 12-5 and holding a 6-2 advantage in corner kicks during the opening half, Stan State entered halftime trailing 3-1.

The Warriors had an opportunity to cut into the deficit in the 51st minute when Flores stepped to the penalty spot, but McDonald made the save to preserve Humboldt's 3-1 advantage.
