ALAMEDA, Calif.---Adrian Yepez scored his third goal of the season and Stan State generated 13 second-half shots as the Warriors battled Cal State East Bay to a 1-1 CCAA draw Sunday morning.
Jose Tizoc assisted on Yepez's first-half goal, while Stan State played the final 13-plus minutes down a player and still held on for the road point.
FIRST HALF
Stan State created the first shot on goal of the match in the seventh minute when
Alexis Cervantes forced East Bay goalkeeper Adan Corona into a save.
Christian Brenes and
David Lozano followed with attempts as the Warriors looked for the early breakthrough.
That breakthrough came at the 23:39 mark. Yepez scored his third goal of the season off an assist from Tizoc to put the Warriors ahead 1-0. Stan State took that advantage into halftime despite East Bay holding an 8-4 edge in shots. The Warriors put two of their four attempts on goal while the Pioneers did not record a shot on target in the opening 45 minutes.
SECOND HALF
Stan State came out aggressively after halftime. Yepez had a shot blocked in the 48th minute before

East Bay equalized at the 51:09 mark when Jefferson Parada scored his fifth goal of the season off an assist from Guilherme Azevedo to make it 1-1.
The Warriors responded by creating a series of chances. Canedo had attempts in the 54th and 60th minutes, Cervantes had shots in the 54th and 61st minutes, and Tizoc had an attempt blocked in the 63rd.
