CAL STATE STANISLAUS: Casey Stephenson is tied for sixth on the CSUS single season records list with six home runs in both 2006 and 2007 … is fourth on the career list with 12 home runs, eighth with 125 hits and third with 89 runs batted in … 2007 — Stephenson played in 69 games last season … named to the Weest Region All-Tournament team … was an NCAA All-Tournament selection as a designated player … hit two solo home runs in the team’s first round game at the NCAA Tournament on May 17, a 3-0 win over Nebraska-Omaha … her slugging percentage for the season was a .416 … was third on the team with 10 doubles … had a seven-game hitting streak and went 8-for-24, drove in five runs with two doubles in late March … went 2-for-3 and drove in three runs with a homer on Feb. 3 vs. Chico State … 2006 – Stephenson made 55 starts and appeared in all 57 games ... fourth on the team with a .294 batting average ...led the team with 40 RBI ... fourth overall with eight doubles and third with six home runs ... had 11 multi-hit and nine multi-RBI games ... went 3-for-3 with four RBI against Notre Dame de Namur (2/3/06) ... went 2-for-3 with five RBI and two runs scored against Chaminade (2/12/06).  2005 – Made 44 starts in 45 games … had seven multiple-hit games including a 3-for-4 game against Sonoma State (2/23/05) … had four multiple-RBI games … went 2-for-3 with a run, two RBI and a pair of doubles on Feb. 5 against Cal State Bakersfield.

HIGH SCHOOL: A four-year varsity softball starter at Selma High School  ... during her 2003 and 2004 seasons she was elected both the team captain and MVP ... graduated in 2004.

PERSONAL: Stephenson is majoring in nursing ... her hobbies include ballet, jazz dance and drawing ... her grandfather, Jim Stephenson, played both football and baseball at Fresno State from 1950-52 ... Casey Beth Stephenson, daughter of Kevin and Joyce Stephenson, was born on July 22, 1986, in Selma.
