CAL STATE STANISLAUS: 2010 – David Contreras started 47 games … was named to the All-CCAA second team … second on the team in runs scored (40), hits (57), doubles (13) and RBI (31), while hitting .337 … led the team with 13 stolen bases … recorded 16 multiple hit games … had a hitting streak of 12 games … Contreras currently ranks third all-time in Warrior history with 103 runs scored, fourth in doubles with 31, and is approaching the top 10 in numerous other offensive categories. 2009 — Contreras played in 47 games, starting 38 of them … seventh on the team in doubles (6)  … hit one homerun … recorded 42 total bases … recorded 10 multiple hit games.  2008 — Contreras played in all 60 games, starting 58 of them, mostly in the infield … fourth on the team with a .311 batting average … Third on the team with 12 doubles … hit four homeruns, second most on the team … recorded 90 total bases … recorded 13 multiple hit games.

HIGH SCHOOL: Contreras was academic all-League at Grace Davis High School where he played for Kevin Ruiz … Was first-team all-Modesto Metro Conference selection … Graduated in 2007.

PERSONAL:  Contreras is majoring in biology … David Contreras, son of Ignacio and Teresa Contreras was born on Aug. 22, 1989, in Manteca.
