Stanislaus State Athletics

CAL STATE STANISLAUS:  2010– Veronica Luna appeared in 32 games for the Warriors … was 3-for-4 with a triple and four RBI’s on March 24 against Hawaii-Hilo.  2009 – Luna had two at-bats and was mainly a valuable bullpen catcher.

JUNIOR COLLEGE: Luna played in 42 games and batted .280 … received a number of academic scholarships including Merced/Mariposa California Retired Teachers Association and the CSU Stanislaus State Employees Trade Council Scholarship … transferred to Cal State Stanislaus in 2008.

HIGH SCHOOL: Luna was an all-league softball player at Merced High School … earned All-County recognition as a catcher … also ran cross country and was the school’s top runner for four years … qualified for sectionals in cross country in 2005-06 … graduated in 2006.

PERSONAL: Luna is a liberal studies major with a minor in physical education … enjoys hiking, snowboarding, and reading … Veronica Genevieve Luna, daughter of Gilbert and Gloriana Luna, was born on Oct. 22, 1988 in Merced.
