Stanislaus State Athletics

CAL STATE STANISLAUS:  2010 – Kory Vitato appeared in 33 games with 29 starts (22 games at shortstop, 6 at second, 1 as DH) … hit .280 with 11 extra-base hits … was second on the team with 18 walks.

JUNIOR COLLEGE:  Vitato participated in baseball at Merced College from 2007-2009 for coach Chris Pedretti … in 2009, Vitato was named First team All-Central Valley Conference as well as being named to the All-Northern California team …  in 2008, he was All-Central Valley Conference Honorable Mention … Member of 2009 Central Valley Conference league champions … also attended Fresno City College and participated In Football during the 2006-2007 school year … Started as placekicker for the football team … 2006 league champions … finished third place in the state.

HIGH SCHOOL:  Named first team all-league shortstop as a senior … maintained a batting average over .400 during each of his 3 varsity seasons at Merced High School where he played for Coach Scott Winton … also a 1st-Team place kicker as a member of the football team ... Graduated in 2006.

PERSONAL: Vitato is majoring in communications … Kory Vitato, the son of Richard and Julie Vitato, was born on Dec. 3, 1987, in San Francisco.
