CAL STATE STANISLAUS:  2010 – Michael Johnson had a breakout season, playing in 31 games with 28 starts (23 as designated hitter) … he batted .336 with five homeruns and was second on the squad with 31 runs batted in … had a .560 slugging percentage in CCAA play … had team-best 14-game hitting streak … also pitched 8 2/3 innings with a 2.08 ERA … competed in the summer of 2010 for team Great Britain in the 2010 summer European Championships in Germany.  2009 – Redshirt Season.   

JUNIOR COLLEGE:  Johnson played one season for coach Reed Peters at Delta College … transferred in 2008.

HIGH SCHOOL:  Played two seasons at North Monterey County High School for Tim Gower … earned all conference and all-county selections and was named Monterey Bay League Co-Most Valuable Player.

PERSONAL:  Johnson is majoring in business marketing … Michael Johnson, the son of Barry Michael Richard Johnson and Betty Willer, was born on Nov. 29, 1987, in Benoni, South Africa.
