CAL STATE STANISLAUS: 2011 — Kristan Burns made 29 appearance and made 20 starts in the circle … Also started as designated player … First Warrior to throw an one-hitter (five innings) since March of 2009, when she did it against Dominican on Feb. 6 … Struckout three batters in a game twice … Offensively, Burns posted the team’s fourth best batting average … Went 2-for-2 with a double and drove in two runs on March 5 vs. Cal State East Bay as the DP.

HIGH SCHOOL:  Kristan Burns was an All-League player in 2009 and 2010 at Vanden High School in Fairfield … As a utility player, received the Defensive Player Award in 2008 … Named First-Team All-Conference in 2007 … High School team was a two time qualifying team for the Sac Joaquin Sectional Tournament … Graduated in 2010.

OTHER: Burns’ juniors team made it to the 2006 Little League World Series in Seattle, Wash.
