NCAA Division II Graduation Rates – Report Information

Introduction

This Graduation Rates Institution Report has been prepared by the NCAA based on data submitted by member institutions in compliance with NCAA Bylaw 18.4.2.2.1 (Admissions and Graduation-Rate Disclosure) and the federal Student Right-to-Know Act.

The report provides graduation information for students and student-athletes who entered as freshmen in the 2016-17 academic year. Graduation rates are calculated based on the percentage of those students who graduated within six years.

For example, if 100 students entered and 60 graduated within six years, the graduation rate would be 60 percent.

Student Groups Included

  • All Students: All full-time undergraduate students enrolled in a baccalaureate degree program.
  • Student-Athletes: Students who received athletics aid at any point during their entering year.

  •

Athletics aid includes grants, scholarships, tuition waivers, or other assistance awarded based on athletic ability.

Graduation Rate Measures

Two graduation rate measures are presented:

  • Federal Graduation Rate: Percentage of first-time freshmen receiving athletics aid who graduate within six years.
  • Academic Success Rate (ASR): Includes additional student-athletes such as transfers, midyear enrollees, and non-scholarship athletes who participate in athletics.

  •

Both measures exclude students who leave for reasons such as death, permanent disability, military service, foreign service, or religious missions.
The ASR also excludes student-athletes who leave in good academic standing with eligibility remaining.

Report Sections Explained

  • Cells with very small counts are suppressed to protect student privacy.

  •

3. Undergraduate Enrollment Data

  • Shows total enrollment of full-time undergraduate students for the 2022-23 academic year.
  • Breaks down enrollment by race/ethnicity and gender.
