Paul Moore, longtime head coach at Ohlone College in Fremont, Calif., brings over 35 years of collegiate coaching experience to Stanislaus and has had success at virtually every level. Moore will serve as the Warrior pitching coach.
Â
Moore comes from Cal State East Bay where he was the pitching coach for the Pioneers in 2014.
Moore began as head coach for his alma mater, Cal Baptist, in 1971. After winning two conference championships in three seasons, he moved to the junior college ranks and became the head coach at Mount San Jacinto College.
Moore was at the helm of the Eagles' baseball program for 12 seasons, winning the league's Coach of the Year award four times and leading Mt. San Jacinto to a conference championship in 1981. After the 1985 season, he decided to try his hand at the Division I level.
Moore's next stop was as an assistant coach at UC Berkeley, and although he was only there for three years, his Cal team reached the brightest possible stage. The 1988 Bears made a remarkable postseason run all to the way to the College World Series in Omaha, Neb.
In 1990, he returned to community college and took what would be his longest-tenured position. Moore served as the head coach of Ohlone College baseball for 17 seasons. He was a five-time Coach of the Year honoree and led Ohlone to four conference championships, eventually retiring in 2006.

Moore was inducted into the California Community College Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2012.
