STAN STATE (2023): Department's Male Newcomer of the Year..Started in all 17 matches that he played in while logging 1179 minutes...Scored five goals and had three assists for 13 points...Scored the game-winning goal in Stan State's 2-1 victory over Saint Martin's (Sept. 2)... CAL POLY HUMBOLDT (2022):  Saw action in 17 matches in 2022 as a Lumberjack and started in three...Scored a goal and assisted on a goal...(2021): Saw action in 16 of the Jacks' 17 matches...Scored two goals in the Jacks' victories over Hawaii Pacific and Cal State East Bay...Also had an assist against Cal State East Bay...Named to Department of Athletics' Dean's List in the Fall...(2020-21):  Scored two goals in Humboldt's six games during the pandemic season....HIGH SCHOOL:  6-2 midfielder graduated from Clayton Valley Charter High School....Named the League's Most Valuable Player and the school's Athlete of the Year...Castaneda was on the Honor Roll....Member of the Diablo FC Team.
