Alexus Martinez was named the Stanislaus State Assistant Softball Coach in September, 2019, and was part of the Warriors' staff for two years after playing for the program for four seasons.
Martinez was a record-breaking softball star in her four years on the Stan State softball team. In her four years she played, she became the all-time career hits leader with 254. Martinez was named the Stan State Female Freshman Athlete of the Year in 2015-16. She was a three-time all-conference player in her first three years as a Warrior.

Martinez was the recipient of the CCAA Hal Charnofsky Memorial award in 2019.

In 2018, Martinez’s team went to the CCAA Tournament for the first time in 10 years.

As a Warrior, Martinez posted a 3.70 GPA to graduate Cum Laude with her B.A. in Communications. She was an All-CCAA Academic for three years as well as Dean’s List all four years and invited to the President’s Breakfast all four years for her academic achievements.

Martinez went on to play professional softball for the Division l Sundsvall Mosquitoes in Sundsvall, Sweden in the Summer 2019. She also coached the Division ll Sundsvall Mosquitoes.
