Katelyn McDonald was introduced the softball assistant coach in September of 2018.
  
McDonald played on the Stanislaus State softball team from 2015-2018 and received the CCAA Spring All-Academic award in 2018. McDonald has been in the game for more than a decade and will be taking on her first year as an assistant coach.
 
McDonald has volunteered for several youth softball camps from Western Washington to the Stanislaus State camps.
 
As a student-athlete, McDonald in her second and third years at Stan State, played in 104 games, starting in 103.  McDonald held a batting average of .290 and had a total of 98 RBI’s. Last spring, she helped led the Warriors to their first CCAA Tournament appearance since 2009.
 
At Arlington High School (Wash.), McDonald was on the Honor Roll, the softball captain and in the National Honor Society. From 2011-2014, McDonald was chosen as first team all-league. In 2013, McDonald’s team won the league softball championship.
 
McDonald attended Western Washington University before she transferred to Stanislaus as a sophomore. McDonald graduated from Stanislaus with a Bachelor of Arts in Child Development in May, 2018.
