Christopher Malenab

Goalkeeper assistant Christopher Malenab brings coaching experience at the high school and club soccer levels to the Warriors prior to the 2009 season.

Malenab has been coaching at the club level, either as an assistant, head coach or program director at various club teams in the Sacramento metro area since 1996. Currently, he is the head coach of El Dorado United Crew 97 boys team and the director of goalkeeper development at the El Dorado United Soccer Academy.

At the high school level, Malenab has been a head coach of a JV club since 2001 and became the El Camino High School girls varsity head coach in 2002.

Currently, he is entering his fourth season as head coach of the Rosemont High School girls varsity team in Sacramento. Rosement is coming off its third consecutive co-conference championship season this past spring.

Malenab returns to collegiate coaching for the first time since 2004, when he served as the goalkeeper and strength coach for the men’s team at Cosumnes River College. That year, he also served in the same capacity for the Sacramento Knights of the Premier Soccer League.

Malenab has a bachelor of arts degree in Sociology from Sacramenot State (2004) and is a graduate of Christian Brothers High School (1998). He is currently working on a master’s degreen in cross cultural education and his teaching credential at National University in Sacramento.
