Zack Masters

Zack Masters joined the Cal State Stanislaus women's soccer coaching staff in October, 2013.
 
Prior to coming to Cal State Stanislaus, Masters had been coaching soccer for more than 13 years at various levels, most recently as an assistant at Division I Saint Mary’s College. He was also the head coach at Menlo College for three seasons.
 
Masters takes over the assistant position on the Stanislaus staff filling the vacancy left open by Jenni Rosenberg, who departed to be the head coach at Southern Oregon University.
 
At Saint Mary’s, under head coach Kai Edwards, Masters helped led the Gaels to their first 10-win season in more than a decade. He was involved in every aspect of training, coaching and managing the team, including video analysis, camps, scheduling, marketing, recruiting and travel planning.
 
From 2007-09, Masters led the Menlo College Oaks to a conference championship in 2008 and guided more than 20 student-athletes to All-Conference status.
 
He also worked with the Olympic Development Program (2010-2012), served as head coach of various youth soccer clubs in Northern California (1997 to present) and directed the varsity girls soccer program at Sacramento’s St. Francis High School (2000-2004).
 
Masters, who holds a USSF National “B” license, was named the Sacramento Bee’s coach of the year three times while at St. Francis and was the 2004 NSCAA coach of the year for a California private school.
 
As a player, Masters was a 1995 all-conference player and team captain at Cañada College in Redwood City. He also played at Humboldt State (1995-96) and one season (1994) as a semi-pro in the San Francisco Soccer Football League.
 
Masters obtained his master’s degree in cross-cultural teaching (2004) and a teach credential in physical education from National University. He graduated from Sacramento State with a bachelor’s degree in physical education in 1999.

Masters is married to Kristen, they have two daughters ages 9 and 5 1/2. They reside in Sacramento.
