Dave Shrock

Dr. Dave Shrock is in his first year on the Warriors staff managing home meet logistics.

Prior to coming to CSU Stanislaus, Shrock coached at Modesto Junior College, where is remains a professor of health education.  Shrock’s programs at MJC amassed two Nor-Cal championships and three runner-up titles, with Shrock named California Central Valley Coach of the Year 10 times, while his program generated 64 All-Americans. 

In 2003 Shrock’s accomplishments earned him the Modesto Bee's title as Modesto Junior College’s most successful coach in recent history. 

Shrock began his coaching career in 1976 at the College of San Mateo before coaching cross country and assisting with track at Stanford and San Jose State. 

Shrock serves in a number of USATF leadership roles including Pacific Association Vice President and Coaching Committee Chair, while serving on the national Coaching Education Committee promoting clinics and assisting with instructor training (ITC).

In 1996, Shrock worked at the Atlanta Olympic Games as part of the IAAF Adjudication Committee. 

Shrock is Level 2 certified in endurance, jumps, and sprints/hurdles, while having earned Level 3 certification in training theory. 

Shrock has a bachelor’s degree in History and a Master's degree in Kinesiology from San Jose State. Having stepped back from coaching to pursue a doctorate, Shrock was recently awarded his Ed.D. in Sports Management from the United States Sports Academy.
