Maddy Halteman joined the Stanislaus State volleyball coaching staff as a volunteer assistant during the summer of 2022 and is in her first season with the program during the 2022-23 school year.

Halteman brings a wealth of San Joaquin Valley volleyball success and knowledge with her, having been one of the all-time best players at both Pitman High School in Turlock down the road from the Stan State campus, and at Fresno State just 75 minutes south.

Halteman was a multi-time all-Mountain West Conference player at Fresno State. She completed her collegiate career among the program's top-10 in four different career record categories. She stands at No. 3 all-time for the Bulldogs in career assists with 3,851. Her 136 career service aces are tied for third-most all-time in program history. Her career rate of 0.30 aces per set are fourth all-time, and her 8.60 career assists per set are ninth all-time. She totaled the third-most assists ever by a Fresno State freshman in 2016, racking up 823 that year.

She had a decorated prep career right here in Turlock before heading south to Fresno State, helping turn Pitman High into one of the area's best volleyball programs. She powered the Pride to a second-place finish at the California State Division I Championship as a senior in 2014, winning a Sac-Joaquin Section Division I title, a CIF NorCal Division I championship and a Central California Conference trophy along the way. The team finished second at the NorCal Division I tournament the year before, while winning three straight CCC titles during Halteman's tenure. Halteman was named CCC Setter of the Year three times (2012, '13, '14) and was named the conference's Most Valuable Player as a junior in 2013.
