Elizabeth Melo was hired in April of 2018 as an assistant athletic trainer.
Melo came to Stanislaus State from the University of California Merced, where she was an assistant athletic trainer for five years. She was involved in the health care of numerous NAIA CalPac teams and championships, including three national tournament appearances with the Bobcats women’s basketball team.
Melo’s began her athletic training career as a student athletic trainer at College of the Sequoias before transferring to Fresno State, where she earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology with athletic training option. She then obtained a Master’s of Science in Kinesiology-Movement Studies at Sacramento State. At Sacramento State she also served as a graduate assistant trainer for two years.
Melo currently lives in Escalon with her husband Andrew and two children Andre & Cassia and their family dog Zoe.
