Rachels is in his second year on the coaching staff at Stanislaus State. He graduated from Stanislaus State in May 2024 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science. The Manteca, Calif.,native is currently working on his Master’s Degree in Coaching/Sports Administration from Liberty University which he is expected to receive in December of 2025. He is the 1B coach and also works with all hitters and defensively with the infielders and catchers.
During his career at Stan State, Rachels received several Academic honors including the CSC Academic All-District, CCAA All-Academic, CCAA Academic Honor Roll, and the D2ADA Academic Achievement Award.
In his first year as a Warrior, he helped lead Stan State to the CCAA Baseball Championships. Rachels hit .299 in his two-year collegiate career with 110 hits of which 24 were doubles and 11 were home runs. The first baseman drove in 53 runs and scored 70 runs with a .465 slugging percentage. Prior to attending Stanislaus, Rachels played one year at East Tennessee State University after transferring from Modesto Junior College.
The past two summers, Rachels has worked at a variety baseball camps throughout the state of California.
